Established Nov 2006, the Lamar-Delta County Medical Society is a constituent of the Texas Medical Association. Our members provide health services to residents in 13 surrounding counties including Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma. We are partnered with Paris Regional Medical Center and the Lamar County Chapter of the American Red Cross.

The Lamar County Chapter of the American Red Cross recruits and trains volunteers to help deliver services throughout its jurisdiction. With the help of our dedicated volunteers, the Red Cross is the preeminent provider of the life saving services, including disaster preparedness, emergency social services, and health and safety training. Be a hero and get involved!

The LCARES provides voluntary emergency HAM communications during the times of need, serving the ARRL West Gulf Division, North Texas Section, District 8. ARES is part of the Red River Valley Amateur Radio Club.

Texas Baptist Men serve in cooperation with SBC Disaster Relief and have an extensive network of trained personnel and resources strategically placed for immediate deployment. Texas Baptist Men provide immediate relief including, but not limited to the following: feeding units, laundry and shower units, mud out teams, childcare unit, chainsaw teams, and box ministry. These ministries provided by Texas Baptist Men allow those affected to begin the recovery process. Volunteers are an important part of any disaster plan. Specialized training is available.
