Citizens Police Academy

The Citizens Police Academy program is designed to educate our citizens about the inner workings of the police department. It is also viewed as an opportunity for our citizens to provide feedback about what they saw a need for in the manner of police services in the community.

Topics covered in the class include Uniform Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Communications, 9-1-1 Service, Narcotics, SWAT, Training, Animal Shelter Operations and Constitutional Law.

Graduates of the First Ever Paris Citizens Police Academy

When scheduled, the Citizens Police Academy classes are typically from 6pm to 8pm for 4 consecutive Tuesday evenings in the Paris Police Emergency Operations Center.  There is also one Saturday class where students are taken to the firing range for demonstrations.
