Sep 1, 1979, the City of Paris took over emergency medical calls from McCuistion Regional Medical Center with two ambulances and nine EMTs running almost 1800 calls a year.
Today, Paris EMS has 21 full-time Paramedics with three 24/7 MICU ambulances plus 12 part-time EMT-B's/EMT-Ps, and averages almost 8600 calls per year!
