[ARCHIVED] Paris Police are Looking for Officers

The hiring process for a police officer begins with the Civil Service Entrance exam. The next civil service entry examination for police officer will be held on Tuesday, March 29th. Doors open at 5:30 PM and the examination begins at 6:00 PM sharp!
The city of Paris is accepting applications for he position of police officer. Applications are available at the police station, Civil Service Director's Office City Hall and on the city of Paris website. Applications will close on Wednesday March 23rd at 5:00 PM.
Please take a moment to check out the police department's page on the city website. Lots of information regarding qualifications and requirements are listed on the employment page.

The Civil Service Commission Director administers the examination. Those persons who have turned in an application will receive notice by mail or e-mail when the test is scheduled.

A photo identification such as a state issued drivers license is required for entry into the testing location.

Those who pass the written exam will participate in the physical assessment on Saturday April 2nd beginning at the police station at 8 AM.


The department conducts tutoring sessions for the examination. The tutoring sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, March 22nd and Thursday March 25th beginning at 6 PM at the police station. The same information is presented at each session regarding the test and hiring process.
