Notice of Civil Service Police Officer Entry Level Examination

The Paris Civil Service Commission will be administering the test on January 13th beginning at 6:00 PM at the police station, 2910 Clarksville Street. Applications are available on this website, at the police station or at City Hall. The application process will close on Friday, January 9th at 5:00 PM. police department accepts applications for testing year round. When a test is scheduled, notice is sent to those applicants who have turned in the one page application to the office of the Civil Service Director, Sandy Collard, at 135 SE 1st Street, Paris. Make sure any address on your application will be current for at least a year.

The department conducts tutoring sessions for the examination. The tutoring sessions are scheduled for January 6th and 8th beginning at 6:00 PM at the police station. The same information is presented at each session regarding the test and hiring process.

A photo identification such as a state issued drivers license is required for entry into the testing location.

The physical assessment for candidates will be held on Saturday, January 17th.
