[ARCHIVED] Courtesy Notice for Removal of Torpedo Signs

This is a reminder to let citizens know that the deadline to remove the torpedo signs located within the city is July 28, 2009. Section 28-10.1(c)(2) of the ordinance states that all torpedo signs which were in place in the City of Paris as of July 28, 2008, whether under a current permit or not and excluding torpedo signs which are not otherwise in conformance with provisions regulating such signs, may remain in place for a period of one year from July 28, 2008; thereafter, such signs must be brought into compliance. The ordinance does provide limited circumstances when torpedo signs are allowed. You can view the entire ordinance by clicking on the link to www.municode.com below and then going to Chapter 28, Article 1. Please contact the Engineering, Planning, and Development Department at (903)784-9231 if you have any questions.
