[ARCHIVED] Openings for Police Officers

A Civil Service Entrance Test for employment as a police officer will be held on March 6th, 2017 at the Paris Police Department. A photo ID is required for entrance to the testing site at the department, 2910 Clarksville Street.  Doors will open at 5:30 and the test will begin at 6:00 PM.

Information will be presented on the hiring process and additional preparation for the test will be held on two dates. It is not mandatory to attend these sessions. The sessions are designed to assist the applicant in being successful on the test. The same information is presented at both, so applicants only need to attend one if they wish to do so. These tutoring sessions will be held at the police department on Monday February 27th and Thursday March 2. Both sessions begin at 6:30 PM.
More information regarding the qualifications, hiring process and Civil Service is available on the employment opportunities page on the city website police department page. If you have other questions, please contact Lt. John Berry at 903-783-4774 or by e-mail by clicking here.

Applications are available at City Hall, the police department or by downloading one by clicking here. The application period will close on February 28th at 5 PM.
