The city of Paris Emergency Management Division will be hosting the Annual SkyWarn Severe Weather Training Program on Monday, January 30th from 7 to 9 PM at the Aiken Elementary School, 3100 Pine Mill Rd.
The training will be conducted by Mark Fox, Training Meteorologist with the Ft. Worth office of the National Weather Service.
The training is aimed at educating weather spotters but anyone can attend the free event. Topics to be covered include:
Basics of thunderstorm development
Fundamentals of storm structure
Identifying potential severe weather features
Information to report
How to report information
Basic severe weather safety
Being aware of how severe forms, being able to spot dangerous situations in developing weather is an assett for anyones personal and family safety.
